So, I recently returned from a trip to Seattle with the man. The man who will soon be my Mr. MY Mr. H. That's right, I got engaged on this vacation. We were there from Thurs-Sun over my birthday weekend. He surprised me with dinner reservations at the top of the Space Needle the first night. It is so beautiful from up there, like really, really beautiful. No eloquent speech needed, just down and one knee and then a ring on my finger. Suddenly we're using words like fiance, wedding, and "ours". The whole vacation seemed so surreal, and it was so fantastic to be away on our own for a couple of days and just enjoy the experience with the two of us.
My friend Jolie over at joliebirdpics.com will be doing our engagement pictures in a week or so. I'm pretty excited about that. I've been admiring her work for a while now but didn't really believe I'd be IN the pictures so soon!
Oh, and on that Saturday of our vacation which happened to be my birthday. I was given a birthday card with a receipt for a laptop in it. Apparently I needed the laptop to plan our wedding (there we go with those crazy words again!).
Like I said.....
